The USPCA were contacted today by a member of the public after they discovered a disorientated Badger and at high risk of drowning along Portaferry beach, Co. Down. The tide had started to come in and the member of the public was coming increasingly worried for the wild animals safety.
When our Rescue Officer arrived at the scene the distressed Badger was minutes away from drowning, as it had dug itself underneath a wall and was trapped. Thankfully the USPCA officer reached the animal in time and was able to get the animal to safety.
