Antrim and Newtonabbey Mayors Charity of the Year
Antrim and Newtonabbey Mayors Charity of the Year
The USPCA was proud to be invited to a special reception hosted by the Mayor of Antrim and Newtonabbey, Councillor Neil Kelly, at Mossley Mill. During the event, the Mayor presented each of his chosen charities, which included the USPCA, with a generous donation of £10,000, as part of a total £30,000 raised over the course of his term.
Our Chair of Trustees, Dr John Farrell and Community and Events Fundraising Officer, Lauren, had the opportunity to share how this incredible support will directly support our charity - helping us to continue to provide essential services such as animal rescues and rehabilitation, the rehoming of pet companions and the supply of pet food parcels.
We are deeply grateful to the Mayor for recognising the value of animal welfare in our community, and for choosing to support the USPCA, alongside two other amazing charities - Mencap and Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
From the whole team at the USPCA, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Councillor Neil Kelly for his generosity, and to everyone who contributed to this donation. Your support will help us improve the lives of animals, both companion and wildlife, throughout Northern Ireland.
