USPCA Rescue Officer called out to an injured badger in the Dungannon Area

The USPCA veterinary team at the animal hospital are currently caring for an injured badger. The Rescue officer received a call from a concerned member of the public  before attending to the injured wild animal at the side of the road in the Dungannon Area of Tyrone.  

Upon investigation the Rescue officer brought the male badger back to the USPCA for treatment. The Rescue Officer stated ” The badger suffered injuries to its face and lower body possibility caused by a disagreement of a fellow badger” 

The USPCA veterinary team are hopeful that the badger will make a full recovery and will continue in its care before it is released back into its natural habitat.
