USPCA received Dormant Accounts NI Funding

The USPCA has been awarded £100,000 over the next three years to support growth and development.

We are delighted to announce that our application to the Dormant Accounts Fund NI delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund Northern Ireland has been accepted.  We will receive funding of £100,000 over the next three years to support our work.

Chair of the USPCA Dr John Farrell said:

“A key focus of the Board is to diversify our income model.  We have three social enterprises, that have the potential to grow, and we also know there are untapped opportunities we have not had the chance to explore.   This funding provides us with the space and resources to develop and expand that will ultimately help us to build a sustainable financial model”.

Nora Smith CEO of USPCA commented:

“The funding will be used to appoint a Business Development Manager, which will make such a difference.  Applying to Dormant Accounts has given us the funding to make the changes we need over the next three years to help further our work in advancing animal welfare in NI”.

The three-year fund will maximise existing income streams, develop new business opportunities and will increase the capacity and skills of our existing team as we grow and develop the financial resilience, futureproofing the charity.
