Fundraising
Fact one: It costs one million pounds a year to fund the USPCA.
Fact two: The USPCA gets no government assistance.
Fact three: The Charity has to source the shortfall itself.
Our money comes from several sources...

B.Activ.4.Animalz
Putting the Fun into Fundraising
B.Activ.4.Animalz events are a key part of both our Education and Fundraising initiatives.
A typical B.Activ day will raise heart rates and boost funds through a programme of sponsored activities interspersed with discussions on animal welfare issues. B.Activ events are geared to the age and ability of the participants so there is no excuse for not getting involved.
If you are aged between 4 and 100, a member of an organisation or a school pupil, and would like to have a B.Activ.4.Animalz Event call organiser Davy McDonald on 07739948514. He’d love to hear from you.
Recent B.Activ days at Victoria College Prep, Leaney Primary, Knockevin Special Care School and Cambridge House were hugely successful on all fronts and the Board of the USPCA send heartfelt thanks to the Schools, the pupils, their parents and friends for their fantastic support.

Collecting Boxes
A steady and reliable source of funds these attractive collie & lamb chalice shaped collecting boxes are available for shops, offices, canteen counters, home use etc. etc. If you can give a box a home please call Davy McDonald on 07739948514. He’ll even arrange to have it regularly cleaned out!
Legacies
In common with many other charities a high proportion of USPCA income is from bequests. This source of funding is clearly unpredictable; it can fluctuate wildly and cannot be relied upon to cover the Charities day to day running costs. However its value cannot be overstated, without legacies the USPCA would have to curtail our activities at a time when we are seeking to expand.
If you would consider making a bequest this should be indicated to your Solicitor who will make proper arrangements to ensure your wish is fulfilled. When you are arranging this please ensure you nominate the USPCA as beneficiary; a number of bequests from NI are regularly sent to the RSPCA in England & Wales through a slip of pen.
Lend A Hand
The USPCA welcomes the assistance of volunteers. By giving the Society a little of your time you can make a positive contribution to the lives of many animals in our care.
Volunteering falls into two categories, Kennelling Duties or Fund Raising.
Our Kennels at Carryduff and Welfare Facility at Bessbrook require a team of volunteers to assist the full time staff with Kennel Duties. This will involve cleaning and disinfecting of kennels, exercising, socialising animals and grooming.
Kennelling Duties
Requirements:
A. Volunteers must be 18 years or over.
B. Be a member of the Society.
C. Prepared to make a regular time commitment of at least 2-4 hours per week.
D. Have current tetanus immunity.
P.S. Wellys and warm clothes are essential.
Fundraising
The Society has hundreds of collecting boxes located in retail businesses all over the province. These need emptied regularly and new placements found. The revenue these boxes generate is increasingly important to the Charity. Volunteers will be given a list of placements in agreed post code area/s and they will be expected to service each box every 6 weeks.
Requirements:
A – C still apply and dress is optional.
To find out more email the USPCA indicating the area in which you could help and we will get in touch.

Individuals or families can have a plaque placed on a kennel or enclosure with an appropriate image and a few words of tribute.
Businesses and organisations can record their appreciation of the work of the Charity by roof sponsorship at our Bessbrook facility.
We ask for a minimum donation, by standing order, of £5 per month for a small plaque or £25 per month for roof signage.
Vehicle Sponsorship
USPCA Welfare Vehicles cover many thousands of miles each year and the support of business in defraying a proportion of the motoring cost would be appreciated. In return for your assistance we will agree suitable signage that records you generosity.
How can I become a sponsor?
The sponsor / standing order forms can be downloaded and returned to the Society at
USPCA
PO Box 103,

To arrange plaque sponsorship please send the required image and a brief tribute. A proof of the plaque will be sent for prior approval.
The enclosure roof or vehicle sponsorship requires artwork and this can be arranged by the Society. Please provide contact details and we will discuss your requirements.
